Universalismis the false idea that all of humanity will eventually be saved by Jesus Christ and accepted into his paradise kingdom. By believing that, the whole idea of hell and people who die in their sins going there, is immediately cancelled out. Such is in major conflict with the Holy Bible.
Dan Corner’s Thoughts and Explanation of Universalism
Holiness Preacher Dan Corner explains and thoroughly dissects the concept of universalism on his website using the Bible. To read about this and other important issues pertaining to Christians, please visit http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/
There will be a 42 month period that the Antichrist (also called the beast) will ravage and destroy multitudes, especially the saints and Jews (Rev. 12:1-17; 13:7). It will be the bleakest and darkest period of human history and will extend over the entire globe! The Antichrist, the evil world dictator at the time, will have complete control over all financial transactions, even the simplest grocery purchases. His reign will suddenly end after 42 months and his fate is clear:
But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. (Rev 19:20)
Sandwiched in between the details about the Antichrist is a highly important piece of data that should be carefully remembered. That detail is, the people who take the mark of the beast and worship his image were deceived by miraculous signs performed by the false prophet, who will be promoting the Antichrist! Hence, not all supernatural signs are from God.
One final point: If Rev. 19:20 is compared to Rev. 20:10, the Antichrist and false prophet are still conscious and in torment 1,000+ years after being thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur! That fact is destructive to the Jehovah’s Witness and Seventh Day Adventist doctrine of annihilation for the wicked dead. The wicked dead will be conscious forever, just like the righteous overcomers who enter God’s paradise kingdom. Furthermore, the doctrine of universal salvation for everyone is destroyed by these same Scriptures. Rev. 12:11 is also a vital Scripture to have memorized for that period.
(BIBLE QUESTION) Please help me. I believed in Jesus 11 years ago and there was a time that really experienced God love and grace and enjoyed His presence so very much. Year after year I go worse and more worse. I did every evil thing that I could do. My marriage was bad but became worse with my adultery, lies, etc. Both my wife and I were serious hypocrites and after all of that I divorced my wife and almost married another women. Two and a half years later God severely convicted me and I broke off the relationships, sought forgiveness from family, friends, ex-wife, kids, Pastors and divorce attorney. I have cried and begged God so much to forgive me. I do not know how I became so evil after knowing the Truth of God. All I beg for is another chance from God. My heart is so very hurt. Even my two sons (12 and 14) try comforting me. On several occasions I asked my ex-wife to forgive me. Oh that God would have mercy on me. …Is there someone that can just point me the way to go to get right with God and obtain salvation? I ruined my testimony at work, home, neighborhood, etc. I even confessed to people at work that my divorce and evil behavior was not of God.
(BIBLE ANSWER) Greetings in Jesus’ name. There is forgiveness for people who stray as you have. It is shown in various Biblical passages and explicitly stated in these two of our text teachings on the backslider ( http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/backslider.htm ) and the Prodigal Son. ( http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/prodigal.htm ) We have been contacted by many others who have strayed into wickedness and thought they could never return to salvation again. Many wrongly thought they committed the unforgivable sin. It appears that your sins have been such a wound to your conscience that you are having great difficulty believing that the forgiveness Scriptures could pertain to you. Please know you are beating yourself up in vain and as the enemy of your soul (the devil) would like! The Bible shows in numerous places that one can be forgiven for his wickedness upon sincere repentance. If what you have written is true, then what you are hoping for has occurred. You must stick to the Bible for truth. If the Bible says the Prodigal Son got forgiven for his wild living which included being with prostitutes, upon his repentance, why do you think you are different? STOP ALLOWING THE DEVIL TO TORTURE YOUR MIND! Memorize James 5:19,20 and read Luke 15:11-32 at least ten times carefully.
NOTE: After Peter lost his salvation by disowning Jesus and came back, he was later used by God in various big ways. The same can happen with you. GOD BLESS YOU.
The one and only gospel of the Bible is directly connected to and associated with a conditional security, but parts of it are often avoided by dangerous teachers of our day. To be more precise, the godless grace changers do that so they can present their distortions about eternal security without even mentioning destructive Scriptures to the contrary:
By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. (1 Cor 15:2)
Paul wrote those important truths to people who had been saved (1 Cor. 1:2) and wanted those Christians to know the facts that they could believe in vain if they did not hold on to the gospel they heard from him. It was up to them. It was their responsibility. Their negligence with this would adversely affect their salvation and nothing less. False teachers were a serious threat back then, as they are today. Again, Paul was not writing to mere professing Christians or false converts, but to genuine Christians. This alone is an important fact about salvation, but in definite disharmony with Calvinism’s fifth point, the deadly perseverance of the saints. If you are Christian, remember your salvation responsibilities under grace, as stated in 1 Cor. 15:2. Do NOT be deceived by a grace changer!
The concept of eternal security (or salvation in wickedness), like many other doctrines of demons, has been argued about for centuries upon centuries by scores of people. Sometimes a look into the history surrounding it, how it has evolved, and the Biblical passages used to support or disclaim it, are necessary. In order for the average person to begin on a quest to understand the fallacy of eternal security versus conditional security of the believer in Christ, it is best to find someone who possesses knowledge and experience on this. Dan Corner looks into the idea of eternal security by examining Biblical passages one by one to understand and explain various interpretations and arguments.
We are not all God’s children (1 John 3:10). Some people are spiritually dead:
Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:60)
All Christians, before getting born again, were spiritually dead. That is why one of the evidences for saving grace in a person’s life is related to passing from spiritual death to life:
We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. (1 John 3:14)
The other type of spiritually dead person is a backslider. The clearest example of such is the prodigal, who was both spiritually dead and lost when in wild living and with the prostitutes (Luke 15:24). He became spiritually dead by turning from God to sin. Hence, some people are spiritually dead because they were never saved, but others were saved at a past point and have since returned as a dog to his vomit (2 Pet. 2:20-22) to a life without God, as a spiritually dead man again.
